Sweeite I hope you didn't think that was real MAC!!!

So I decided to do this blog after thinking about a call that I got from my sister @PrincessYasmeen (twttier) She called me and said "Girrrl they have MAC makeup at the beauty supply store!!!" ....PAUSE!!!! Did you say MAC at our beauty supply store?? So you know I had to run over and check it out!! It was no surprise that this was FAKE!!!! I was surprised because my sis is the MAC queen, she is ALWAYS in MAC. So I just wanted to give some tips on spotting fake MAC.

Let's start with the obvious!!

A girl can dream but MAC NEVER has and NEVER will sell products like this

A Palette with 90 colors!!For $32  LOL!! I don't even think you can get 3 shadows from MAC for $32 Moving ON!!

Self explanatory!! Put that where??? Back there!!

Now for the fake shadows and pigments

MAC shadows will never come with a sponge applicator

If you see a Palette with a sponge applicator and a mirror please drop it and run!

MAC shadows never have separate compartments to hide away a little sponge applicator! PLEASE!

There is no secret compartment that contains a mirror!!

Now you know darn well you have NEVER walked into MAC and seen foolishness like this!

Now for the pigments! This is what gets most people!
#1 giveaway MAC pigments do not have this little spot!! Come on you have to do better than this! Bootleggers step ur game up

Authentic pigment on the left! The real pigment has a plastic lifter that has code on it
Authentic MAC pigments contain an alpha numeric code (ex. A73) as well as the color name

Notice how the fake pigment only has a color name

Notice these fakes have only a color name

This fake on the other hand only has a number on the bottom
They almost had it right. These fakes actually contain an alpha numeric code but no color name

Another tip: The labels on the bottom are now  a silver/gray color.Older products may contain a clear label but NEVER black

colors are nice but not very vibrant

The authentic MAC colors are way more pigmented

Here are some other fake products

Fake MAC blush hard to see but label says M03 WHAT is that. There is no color name. For instance this looks kind of like MAC's  "pink swoon" if it was MAC it would have that color name on the bottom.

DEAD GIVEAWAY MAC's lipglass has black writing, not white!!!

Authentic lip glass on the left , fake one on the right! The real one has alpha numeric code and color name.

Always remember "Fakes are like fall leaves, found everywhere"
That's all for now dolls, so until next time.....

Who said stiletto’s are only for your feet…..Are you fab enough to rock them on your fingers??!!!

So it looks like the fingers were getting jealous of the feet!! They want to be fab too!! We all know woman love their stilettos!! However these particular stilettos are not for the faint of heart! Introducing……(drum roll pleeeeease!!!!)

Stiletto Nails

I absolutely love these nails!! They are fun, they are bold and they allow you to be creative. No need to carry that extra large clutch to carry your pepper spray or your taser. These nails will double as your accessory and your weapon! J  There are so many ways to dress up these nails!! I keep mine on the shorter side, if it were a shoe it would be a 3in stiletto!!  You can add bright colors, rhinestones or go the 3d route!! Another interesting trend 3D nails!!! Amazingly creative!!

Well that’s it for now dolls!! Short and simple!! In the words of Lita Ford “A stiletto, I look at it more as an attitude as opposed to a high heel”

Everybody's doing it!! You know you want to!!

Rhi's doing it!!

B's doing it!! lol

These r SUPER DOPE!!!!!

AMAZING!!

                                                                    3D Nails

I leave you with this, It doesn't matter what you wear just wear it well!!!! (if you can't take it the hell off )

Now let me click my stilettos 3 times and hope they land me somewhere glamorous today!!

Love Peace and Glamorous kisses to all

Finding the Perfect foundation !!

The question that I am asked the most “how do I find the right foundation ???”

The question that I am asked the most “how do I find the right foundation ???”

Glamdolls Ariel and Aeysha suggested that, that be the topic of my next blog. So here we goooooo!!!!

Trying to find the right foundation can be like finding silver in a gold mine!! There are so many dihfferent brands, colors and types!! It becomes a bit overwhelming. The 2 most important things to remember when selecting foundation are color and skin type.

Choosing the right color: So your in the store your walking humming “end of time “ by Beyonce thinking about beating your face!!! You’ve spotted one that seems to be your color. You open it, put some on the back of your hand and …….WAIT!!!!!!! STOP RIGHT THERE!!! Do me a favor . Go to the closest mirror! Ummmm…..NOW!! Okay now take your hand and hold it up to your face, I’ll give you a second to look at it…..now, is it the same color as your hand ?? About 90% of you will answer no. Now go back to humming Beyonce and begin your search again. Now this time w
en you pick the color that you think matches take a pea sized amount and swipe it down the side of your face.

If it’s a little light try going a shade darker and vice versa.!! Choose wisely or you could wind up with something like......

Don't think that's quite her color!!!

Knowing your skin type:If you want a flawless look it is VERY important to know your skin type. I know some people swear by certain “brands” of makeup and they figure as long as it is that brand it must be good. I’ve said it before and I will say it again “everything ain’t for everybody!!” Here are a few tips on picking the right foundation for your skin type:

1st determine what your skin types is. Do you have dry skin , oily skin or combination skin??

                                                                  Dry Skin:

If you have dry skin u  may tend to peel you may have red spots or dark spots and your skin may feel tight at times. If you have dry skin try to avoid powder foundations or cream to powder foundations they will make you look dry, dull and ashy. It will also exaggerate any fine lines or wrinkles you may have.

You can try these:

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation $29.50

Clinique Super moisture Foundation $31

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid around $7

                                                                        Oily skin:

If you have oily skin you may tend to look greasy all the time and your pores may appear larger than most peoples. A great way to test for oily skin is to take a clean mirror and press your face to it. If you have left a face print then yeah…. You may have oily skin. You want to stay away from oil based moisturizers and foundations. It’s one thing to look like you have a well moisturized face and  a whole nother thing when you look like you have been laminated…YIKES!! Loose powder foundations , cream to powder , and mineral foundations will work best with your skin. If you have oily skin try going one shade lighter as the oil from your skin will make foundation darker.

You can try these:

Revlon Color stay Mineral mousse  $9

                                               MAC Studio Fix Powder $26.50

Prescriptive Oil Control Makeup $35

Hard Candy "Welcome Matte" Powder $8

Revlon ColorStay Combination/Oily skin $9.99

                                                       Combination skin:

If you have combination skin your t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) will tend to be oily while your cheeks remain dry. A cream to powder foundation will work great with your skin!!

Try these:

MAC studio sculpt $29.50
I.D. Bare Minerals foundation set Foundation starts around $12

Remember all great things are built on a great foundation, so why shouldn't your face be!!! Hope this helps !!
